Anderkin, Brian is Claims Supervisor at Great American Insurance Group. He currently oversees the adjudication of life and annuity claims. He has been with Great American since 2009 and has 15 years of experience in the insurance claims industry. Brian is a graduate from the University of Cincinnati and holds a MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University, along with FLMI, ACS, and ARA designations. Brian is a member of the ICA Life committee.
Angiolillo, Chuck has been employed with Claims Bureau USA since October 2002. He is a graduate of Westfield State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and he currently serves as Co-Chair of the Disability Committee with the International Claim Association. Chuck began his career at Claims Bureau USA as a field investigator and has held several managerial positions with the company. Today, he is the Sr. National Accounts Director and works with all of the life and health companies that Claims Bureau USA serves.
Bachrach, Joshua is a partner in the Philadelphia, PA office of Wilson Elser, and chair of the firm's life, health, disability and ERISA practice team. Josh represents clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States in litigation involving ERISA and non-ERISA disputes over disability, life and health coverage as well as disputes over pension benefits. Josh also represents insurers in coverage and bad faith litigation. He is a frequent speaker at national seminars on ERISA-related subjects and has written numerous articles on ERISA and related topics.
Baker, Geoffrey M. joined the firm of Elam & Burke, PA in Boise, Idaho, in 2017. Previously, he was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for United Heritage, an Idaho-based a group of life, property and casualty insurance companies He served six years on the Boise City Ethics Commission. Mr. Baker has been named a "Leader in Law" by the Idaho Business Review and is a past recipient of the Pro Bono/Community Service Award from the Association of Corporate Counsel, Mountain West Chapter.
Barrett, Peter is Vice President and Head of RGA's Global Claims, Medical and Underwriting Governance teams. He joined RGA as UK Claims Manager in 2002, became Head of Claims for RGA's International markets in 2008 and then Global Head of Claims in 2014, taking on his current position in January this year. He has worked in the life [re]insurance industry since 1984 and has been involved in claims management since 1990. Peter holds the following UK industry posts: Chairman Education committee for the Assurance Medical & Underwriting Society; Joint Editor for the Chartered Insurance Institute course Life and Disability claims.
Beaufait, Mary A. is a Claims Manager at Hannover Re, leading the complex and contestable life team, bringing more than 38 years of experience in insurance and claims management including life, health and disability claims with various insurers. Mary joined Hannover Re in 2001 working in their Accident and Health claim operations and moved into managing their life claims operations in 2004. Mary has been active with the International Claim Association since 2005 first serving on their Life Committee, then in 2009 moved over to Co-Chair and Chair the Reinsurance Committee. Mary continues to serve the on the Reinsurance Committee. Mary has also obtained her ACS and ALMI designations.
Berndt, Wendy leads a third party administration management team at Prudential. A financial services professional with over 15 years of experience, she is responsible for oversight and relationship management of all operations functions, including claims, with the third party administrator. Starting in banking and sales, Wendy has filled a variety of roles ranging from quality control to project management prior to leading Claims and Inforce operations. Currently, she and her team are focused on successful execution of all back office functions with the third party administrator, as well as producer and client satisfaction in a highly dynamic business environment.
Binzer, Ann S. is Vice President, Life Claims for The Cincinnati Life Insurance Company. Her responsibilities include supervising the administration of life, annuity, accelerated benefit and disability claims, managing litigated claims, and responding to compliance and market conduct issues. She obtained her BA from The University of Michigan and her MBA from Xavier University. Ann has also obtained her FLHC, FALU, FLMI, CLU, and ChFC designations. Ann is past co-chair of the Life & Annuity Committee.
Blackett, Anne is VP Policy Service and Claims, Security National Life Insurance Company. Anne has worked with the Security National Life's Service and Claims departments since 1978. The claims department is responsible for life, annuity, pre-need, accident, waiver of premium and reinsurance claims. She enjoys the responsibility along with mentoring and watching the growth of her team members.

Brady, Joe has been working as an investigator for eight years in several different roles. He began his career as a surveillance investigator on the east coast and has grown into a senior manager at PhotoFax, an established firm of 28 years business based out of Chicago, Illinois. He recently obtained his Certified Fraud Examiner certification and enjoys the world of claims and the twists and turns with each and every case.
Bullock, Brian is the Manager of Reinsurance Claims at SCOR Global Life Americas based in Leawood, Kansas and Charlotte, North Carolina. He has been in the insurance and reinsurance claims business for 32 years and joined SCOR in 2010. Bullock specializes in life insurance and disability claims, claims process management and technology and manages SCOR employees in Kansas and North Carolina. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Kansas City with a degree in Business/Finance, has his FLMI, ALHC, AIRC, and ACS designations and is the former President of the Kansas City Life and Health Claim Association. Bullock has previously been a regular speaker at the Eastern Claim Conference and is a long term ICA proponent and member.
Caldarazzo, Michael serves as SVP of PhotoFax, Inc, which is a national investigation firm. Mr. Caldarazzo has spent his entire 27-year career investigating and supervising workers compensation, disability and long-term care claims. He has worked over 2500 field investigations across the United States and has managed tens of thousands of others. Mr. Caldarazzo earned his bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University; he resides in Naperville Illinois with his wife Annie and 4 children. Mr. Caldarazzo's passion is in sharing his experience in surveillance, investigations and tactical remote surveillance with employers, claim professionals and special investigation units around the country. Mr. Caldarazzo's practical experience, strategy expertise, and love of the industry…, directs the growth and success of PhotoFax, Inc.
Carra, Barbara is currently in private practice with the Law Offices of William J. Fennell, P.C. with a focus on medical malpractice defense. She is active in the Massachusetts Bar Association and Hampden County Bar Association pro bono programs. Additionally, she is a frequent speaker and published author. Prior to returning to private practice, Barbara was with the Dispute Resolution section of the MassMutual Law Department. There, she oversaw high stakes insurance litigation matters and advised corporate clients on strategies to advance their business imperatives. In addition to her work at Mass Mutual, Barbara was an Assistant Vice President & Counsel for UnumProvident Corporation and before joining UnumProvident, she worked for the law firm of Morrison, Mahoney & Miller.

Clifford, Megan, Ph.D. is a Data Scientist at American Fidelity, a privately owned life and health insurance company that provides voluntary supplemental health insurance products and annuities. Megan truly loves data and helping other people use data to gain insights and knowledge. She leads a team responsible for developing and implementing a predictive model to detect disability fraud. Megan believes great data science is a team sport and works closely with Colleagues across several divisions to ensure the quality and usefulness of her team's work. Megan holds a B.A. in Math and Economics from Loyola University Chicago and a Ph.D. in Policy Analysis from the RAND Pardee Graduate School. Prior to starting at American Fidelity, Megan completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University.
Clink, Monica has been in the insurance claims industry for over 20 years with experience in life, disability income, critical illness, annuity, and hospital indemnity claims. She is currently the Assistant Vice President of Claims at Optimum Re in Dallas, Texas. Monica serves on the ICA Education Committee and Reinsurance Committee and holds an MA in Economics from Syracuse University.
Coleman-Polifroni, Rebecca is a 12-year associate of Nationwide Insurance. In her current role as a Paralegal Specialist, Rebecca handles legal issues and opinions regarding contested claims, suicide claims, escalated claims, small estate claims and long term care claims, and more. Rebecca also advises, researches and opines on any number of legal issues impacting any of Nationwide's life and annuity business units and provides associate job aids and trainings on a variety of legal-related topics. Rebecca has served on the ICA Law Committee for two years.
Cowan, Melissa M. is a partner with Burke, Williams & Sorensen in its Los Angeles office. She represents and advises national insurers and self-funded plans in disability, accident, life, health, long-term care, and complex commercial litigation. She has also defended agents/brokers, religious organizations, and public law clients in general and business litigation throughout California. Her areas of litigation expertise include bad faith, fraud, ERISA, unfair trade practice claims, class actions, and investigation. She has successfully represented clients in federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels, including obtaining a jury award of punitive damages against a fraudulent insured claiming disability. She received her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1994, where she was a managing editor of the UCLA Law Review.
Demlong, William is a partner in the Phoenix, Arizona firm The Cavanagh Law Firm and has been representing Life, Health and Disability carrier for the last 28 years. His practice involves the analysis and litigation of complex first party insurance claims. Bill has litigated and tried cases throughout the west and is license to practice in Arizona and Nevada, with his New Mexico bar admission currently pending. Bill has been active in the Arizona District court as a Lawyer Representative to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and has been appointed twice to chair the Court's Magistrate Selection Committee. On the state level, Bill is a judge pro tem for Maricopa County conducting settlement conferences on a voluntary basis for the Court. He received his J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, with honors, and is also a non-practicing C.P.A.
Denbo, Tammy is a partner in the firm Martinez and Denbo LLC since 2014. Ms. Denbo is a Certified Fraud Examiner with ACFE and a Licensed Paramedic. Ms. Denbo handles SIU fraud investigations and Federal and State court affirmative litigation. Ms. Denbo handles first and third party tort, property, and contract claims including fraud, auto, PIP, personal injury, theft, arson, construction defects, premise liability, general liability and professional liability. Ms. Denbo has extensive litigation and trial experience, having completed over 35 trials. Tammy began her law carreer in 1998 with the State Attorney's office in Pinellas County, 6th Judicial Circuit. In 2002 Associate Attorney with Rissman, Barrett, Hurt, Donahue & McLain, P.A. In 2007 to 2014 partner with the firm Masten, Peterson & Denbo, LLC. Denman, Rick has been with Munich Re since 2009 and is responsible for Munich Re's Group claim and administration area. Prior to his entry into reinsurance, Rick had 28 years of group claims experience, starting his career at Mutual Benefit Life. Rick later managed claims offices for Travelers and MetLife. Rick held officer-level claim positions with MetLife and UNUM. Rick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia along with several industry designations.
Doherty, Chris has been working in the Social Security arena since 1981, initially as a Claims Representative with the Social Security Administration. While working for Social Security he specialized in dealing with disability claims. He began practicing law in this exclusive area in 1987 and along with his partners founded Doherty, Cella, Keane LLP in 1995. Doherty, Cella, Keane LLP is a Limited Liability Law Firm Partnership that works with the insurance industry representing claimants nationally for Social Security disability benefits and providing overpayment collection services.
Dubiel, Bob has more than 40 years of Group, Association and IDI Claims Experience with The Hartford Life Insurance Companies, Unum Group and MetLife. He is currently a LTD Unit Leader in MetLife's Bloomfield, CT National Account Office. Additionally, he holds an ALHC designation, is Treasurer of the International Claims Association (ICA), co-chair of the ICA Disability Committee, a member of the ICA Membership Committee and a member of the ICA Executive Committee. Bob received his undergraduate degree from LeMoyne College in Syracuse NY.
Evans, Pamela is a Sr. Claims Analyst at Pacific Life Re. Pam's experience as a reinsurer and retrocessionnaire encompasses life, health and disability claims worldwide. Pam has extensive knowledge of claims audits as well as previous experience working for several direct writers. Pam holds the FLHC, FLMI and ACS designations and is a member of the ICA Reinsurance Committee.
Farrey, Dori is a team leader of the SIU team at CUNA Mutual Group and has been with the company for the past eight years. During her tenure at CUNA she has investigated different types of claims including; disability, life, ADD, collateral protection, business liability, GAP, and Bond. Prior to working at CUNA Mutual Group she worked as an SIU investigator for Progressive Insurance in Minneapolis, MN for several years. During that time she investigated property and casualty claims, PIP claims, organized crime involving medical clinics and staged loss rings, and served on the Hennepin County Fraud Task Force involving the investigation of a major case of organized insurance fraud. Dori started her career as a patrol officer in a 1st ring suburb of Minneapolis. She graduated from Metropolitan State University with a BS in Law Enforcement and minor in psychology.
Feuerstein, Michael is a Life and Disability Services Operations Consultant with The Standard. In this role he leads and manages strategic initiatives to drive improvements to claim management practices. He oversaw the implementation of the claim analytics framework in the LTD Benefits Department to support and improve risk management strategies. Mike has over 28 years of experience in the insurance industry including roles in group LTD and IDI claims, individual disability guarantee issue sales support and underwriting. Mike received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Formus, Adam cut his teeth on disability claims starting in 1994. He worked his way up through the ranks and various companies, and is now the AVP & Senior Counsel at Guardian Life Insurance Company in Pittsfield, MA. He focuses on legal and regulatory matters involving Guardian's life, individual disability income, and group insurance operations, while also providing legal advice and services to Product Development and Marketing, Underwriting, Claims and Actuarial.
Friedman, Douglas is the founding shareholder of Friedman Law Firm, P.C., which represents disabled workers for Social Security disability and Veterans disability compensation. Mr. Friedman is a nationally known speaker and author who lectures on disability issues for advocacy groups and insurers. He is Chairman of the Faculty for the Veterans Disability Symposium. Mr. Friedman is a member of the Advisory Council for Mission United, a comprehensive veterans initiative of United Way. He is past Chairman of the Advisory Board of Cooper Green Mercy Hospital, and a former member of the Advisory Board of the School of Public Health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Mr. Friedman is admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the VA. He is a member of NOSSCR and NOVA, and the Alabama bar.
Friedman, Jessica is the managing shareholder of Friedman Law Firm, P.C., where she dedicates her practice to protecting the rights of the disabled. Ms. Friedman represents clients across the country in Social Security disability and Veterans disability compensation claims. She is admitted to practice before the VA and the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Ms. Friedman is a member of NOSSCR, NOVA, and the Alabama Bar.
Frohlich, Shelley is located in Ontario, Canada and oversees the Fraud Risk Management team for Sun Life Financial, responsible for investigation, fraud detection and prevention through strategic direction and fraud risk management within Group Benefits. Under her leadership and through intelligence led anti-fraud strategies, there is a focus on plan member investigations as well as the profiling of medical and dental providers and facilities. Shelley has been with Sun Life since 2010 and has worked in the investigation field within the insurance industry for the last sixteen years, including participating in court and regulatory hearings.
Gallant, Jason joined Munich Re in 2015 as an Account Representative. Prior to joining Munich Re, Jason had worked as a Senior Claim Consultant at Disability Management Services, Inc. (DMS) where for over nine years he was responsible for adjudicating and managing a caseload of complex Individual Disability Income insurance claims, along with field travel primarily involving face-to-face interviews with claimants and their authorized representatives. Jason attended Southern New Hampshire University (formerly New Hampshire College) where he earned a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership in 2005 and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2003. Jason has been a member of the ICA Disability Committee since 2013.
Glasgow, Kevin has nearly 30 years of experience in insurance and claims management including life, medical, disability and annuity claims with various insurers, as well as experience in policy administration, marketing and system support. Most of his career has been in direct insurance, and he began leading reinsurance claim teams in 2005. Kevin joined Munich Re in 2012 and is responsible for the Individual Life and Living Benefits claims processes. In academia, Kevin holds bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from Roanoke College and Radford University, respectively. He also holds the FLMI, FLHC, and ARA industry designations, and has been active with the International Claim Association since 1987.
Gruber, Rosie is Director of Life and Retirement Claims for Symetra Life Insurance. I've been in the insurance industry for over 35+ years and have managed various teams in addition to Life and Retirement Claims, Individual Medical and Disability, Life Customer Service, Life Illustration Team and Structure Settlements. I have a passion for developing my teams while, assisting our customers during a very difficult time in their lives.
Hallden, Ken is the Director of Disability Claims for Prudential Group Insurance West Coast Long Term Disability Operation, based out of Scottsdale, Arizona. He also oversees two Short Term Disability Claim teams based out of the East Coast Region. Prior to joining Prudential, Ken spent 25+ years with The Hartford in various operational leadership roles of increasing responsibility within the Group Benefits space. Most recently, he was Assistant Vice President of Group Specialty Market Disability and Life Claims. Ken holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in insurance and finance, and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Hartford.
Hamilton, Joseph is a Partner at Mirick O'Connell and Chair of the Firm's Litigation Group as well as the Life, Health, Disability and ERISA Litigation Group. He concentrates his practice in life, health and disability insurance defense, and ERISA. Mr. Hamilton serves as counsel for numerous life, health and disability insurers and self-insureds at all levels of state and federal courts throughout Massachusetts. Mr. Hamilton's representation includes the full spectrum of issues arising from both individual and group coverage, under both state and federal law, including ERISA.
Hammers, Dr. Jennifer L. is a board-certified anatomic, clinical, and forensic pathologist. She is the Deputy Chief Medical Examiner of the Brooklyn Campus with the Office of Chief Medical Examiner, City of New York. Dr. Hammers graduated from Geneva College with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, and received her Osteopathic Medical Degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed the anatomic and clinical pathology residency program at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This was followed by Forensic Pathology fellowship training and Forensic Cardiac Pathology and Neuropathology fellowship at the Office of Chief Medical Examiner, City of New York under Dr. Charles Hirsch. Dr. Hammers has a particular interest in cardiac pathology and actively participates in research related to Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy.
Henderson, Kristie is a Claims Manager at Hannover Re, where she has worked for the past twelve years. She manages the production of life, long term care and critical illness reinsurance claims where her passion for efficiency and processing innovation are utilized. Kristie has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology from the University of Colorado at Denver. She has also obtained her FLMI, ACS and ARA designations.
Herron, Jennifer has served as the Director of the Internal Audit department at American Fidelity Corporation since September 2015. Her current responsibilities including leading the management, development, and execution of all internal audit related activities as well as a Special Investigation Unit program within her organization. Jennifer is leading a Fraud Analytics team who is tasked with initiating a fraud analytics model for American Fidelity. Previously, Ms. Herron served as a Senior Manager at PwC in the assurance practice in Oklahoma City and has approximately 12 years of audit, accounting, and internal control experience. Ms. Herron is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor. Horsman, Sophia is Director of Individual Disability Claims, The Standard Insurance Company, Portland, Oregon.
Houston, Kim is currently the Manager of Individual Life Claims at Munich Re. She has over 27 years of experience in individual life and health claims. In her normal role she oversees the Individual Life Claims for Munich Re in Atlanta. Kim is a member of the ICA Executive Committee, the ICA Life Committee and a former co-chaired of the Life Committee. Kim has experience in all aspects of claims processing and claims management, including process improvements. Kim is a regular presenter at the ICA Conference as well as other industry conferences. She received her undergraduate degree in Business Management from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL.
Howe, Phil is an experienced civil litigator with 47 years in complex insurance, medical and financial issues in the areas of life, disability, automobile, health, homeowners, property and casualty insurance including defending claims of bad faith. He has additional experience in condominium, construction, medical malpractice, personal injury and real estate litigation. He has tried cases in CA and MA, state and federal courts. Phil has also managed litigation nationwide as house counsel for an insurer which issued individual and group life, health and disability insurance. He was the author of a quarterly newsletters on MA insurance law and has been published in The Massachusetts Law Review, many other journals and most recently in the D.R.I.'s "The Voice" on the U.S. Supreme Court decision on attorneys' fees, May 17, 2017. Phil has since 2016 been Special Counsel with LTL Attorneys, LLP, a 38 lawyer law firm with offices in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Francisco.
Jones, Rebecca (Becky) is a lead consultant with Allstate Life Insurance Company. She has many varied duties in her role, including oversight of escalated claims involving fraud/liability issues/beneficiary disputes, training of staff, projects and implementation of operational/process improvements. Becky has thirty years experience in life/annuity claims, and her background includes claims management and SIU investigations. Becky has a B.B.A from Loyola University and has earned the FLMI, FLHC, and ACS designations.
Kauffman, David is Counsel in the Corporate Law Department at State Farm. Prior to joining State Farm, David was a partner at Taft, Stettinius Hollister LLP in Taft's Private Client group. David served on the Advisory Board for Commerce Clearing House's Journal of Practical Estate Planning and was a regular columnist. He was a certified Estate Planning and Probate Specialist by the Ohio State Bar Association. David is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Law (1995). He completed his undergraduate degrees in Economics and English at Capital University (1991) Professional Affiliations / Recognitions: American Bar Association (Member), Columbus Bar Association (Member), Ohio State Bar Association (Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate).
Jordan, Colleen is AVP and Special Counsel with Unum Group in Worcester, MA. She is a graduate of St. Lawrence University and Northeastern University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Colleen handled Individual Disability claims for The Paul Revere Insurance Company. Colleen litigated Property and Casualty matters as Counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, and has served as Counsel for Unum and its affiliated companies, supporting various products and services, since 1997 Colleen has extensive experience in with Individual Disability, Group LTD, ERISA and bad-faith matters, pre-litigation and in state and federal court litigated matters. She has presented on panels for the Defense Research Institute (DRI), International Claims Association (ICA) and at New England Claims Association (NECA) meetings.

Lanford, Mark joined Lemieux & Associates in 2016 as Director of Special Investigations. Mark is responsible for ensuring the continued growth and development of Lemieux & Associate's industry leading Special Investigations Unit. Mark previously worked as Manager of the Special Investigation Unit for Enterprise Operations at MetLife. Mark went to work for MetLife in 1996 where he was responsible for the development of the SIU for Group Disability. Prior to MetLife, Mark was with the Atlanta Police Department for 17 years.
Lesko, Robert is a Partner at Wilson Elser, which has 31 offices throughout the United States and London. Rob has nearly 25 years experience representing financial services industry clients, including insurers, broker-dealers, TPAs and fraternal benefits organizations, in litigation and arbitration proceedings throughout the country, especially NY, NJ, and PA. He's active in several industry organizations - in addition to the ICA - committed to the education of industry and outside counsel. Rob also serves as a trustee and director of a national pension and welfare plan as well as on several boards for local organizations in his community.
LeTendre, Judith is responsible for managing the Claims Department including process and payment of all life, annuity, precious life and accelerated benefits as well as waiver of premium requests. She is akey member of the Unclaimed Property Team and serves as a strategic planning team leader. Judith has over 27 years of experience in the insurance industry. Her credentials include FLHC, ACS and AIRC.
Love, Adam is a Certified Fraud Examiner and the Team Lead on the Resource Team at Sun Life Financial. He has considerable experience, both as a private investigator and in his current role, investigating some of the most complex claims. His professional interests include investigations, claimant interviews, and data analytics. Apart from his day job, Adam is a competitive runner, speaker, and musician.
Lyons, Lora is the AVP of LTD Benefits with The Standard Insurance Company. MacDiarmid, Don had an eleven-year law enforcement career and rose to the rank of Assistant Chief of a suburban San Antonio police department. Since 2002, Don has been employed by John Hancock Life Insurance Company. He is currently a Lead Investigator and responsible for conducting investigations throughout the U.S. and in foreign countries. His current responsibilities also include oversight of domestic and foreign claim investigations. In this capacity, he works closely with Claims management and personnel, Underwriters, Compliance and Law departments. He also provides assistance to law enforcement as required.
Marquez, Richard J. is managing director of Diligence International Group LLC, spent 28 years as the consulting director of special investigations for Prudential Financial, developing a worldwide reputation in Internet technology, information research, and financial investigations. Richard became a recognized expert in foreign investigations in all parts of the world and developed a broad network of law-enforcement associates and local investigators. He has used his experience and state-of-the-art technology to create innovative processes that defeat fraud. For 20 years, he conducted all foreign investigations for Prudential Financial – Individual Life Insurance Division.
Marshall, Tina serves as the Special Investigation Unit Manager for American Fidelity Corporation. She has been with American Fidelity for 20 years. Her management responsibilities include New Business, Underwriting, and Claims. The claims encompass life and annuity death claims, waiver of premium, and critical illness, for fully underwritten policies and worksite jet issued policies. The business under her oversight comes from the US, Asian, and Latin American markets.
Mountain, Barbara is the National Director of Business Development at Doherty, Cella, Keane LLP, a law firm dedicated to Social Security disability. Doherty, Cella, Keane LLP has been working with the insurance industry representing claimants for Social Security benefits and providing overpayment recovery services since its inception in 1995. In his current role as Life Claims Consultant, Mark handles escalated claims, reviews contestable claims and drives projects to improve the life insurance claims experience. Prior to this position, Mark lead a team of claims specialists in the processing of life insurance claims, including death, waiver of premium, long term care, accelerated and accidental death benefits. Overall, Mark has 25 years of claims experience including health, class action lawsuit and life insurance. He also has eight years of life underwriting exposure.
Villanueva, Kate is a partner at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. She represents clients in commercial litigation and class actions at the trial and appellate levels in state and federal courts nationwide.
